The purpose of this category is to facilitate the partners and dependent children of the long-term visa holders to join them in New Zealand and live together as a family.

The partner and dependent children are granted visa as per the visa status of the supporting partner in New Zealand.

Work Visa Option:

The partners of the workers earning at least median pay rate/post study work visa holders or the resident/permanent resident/citizen of New Zealand, are granted work visa for the same duration as that of supporting partner. Even the partners of students’ studying master’s degree or higher/the courses mentioned in green list occupation list, are eligible for work visa.

Visitor Visa:  

The partners of work visa holders earning less to median pay rate or student visa holders studying less than master’s degree (non-green list qualifications) are eligible for visitor visa of the same duration as that of the supporting partner.

Dependent Children:

Dependent children of post study work visa holders/resident/permanent resident/citizens of New Zealand are eligible for student visa (5 – 19 years) with domestic status. The applicant is grants student visa to student in any school in New Zealand. However, for those who are not eligible for student visa are granted visitor visa of the same duration as of supporting parent.
