FUNDS Required = Course FEE + Living Cost

One year course fee varies from NZ$19,000 to NZ$30,000 depending over the course and education provider you choose.

Besides course fee, international students also need $15,000 per annum for their living cost. Though, international students may be eligible for 20 hours per week work, but you must have living cost available to you before you apply for student visa.

Hence, If your chosen one year course fee is NZ$20,000, you will need:

Total Funds Required= NZ$20,000 + NZ$15,000 = NZ$ 35,000

Funds MUST be available to you before you apply for your student visa. These funds should be your family savings or an education loan.

If the course duration is more than one year, financial planning for next year study may be acceptable by INZ.
